WHOLISTIC WELLNESS PROGRAM
We believe that showing future generations how sustainable food is grown changes their lives. Permaculture. When your child participates in BAFOL BEAR® Summer Camp, your family will be supporting food education and will inspire future generations to want access to healthy gardens in their own homes (Farmacy). Connecting kids to gardens, helps them to start thinking more holistically about sustainability, their food, their communities, and the global planet. We provide a FREE Wholistic Care Kit to each family (art supplies, a live plant/or heirloom seeds, and literature). And we still provide FREE gloves, hand sanitizer, masks, and literature, while supplies last. We’ve seen firsthand how this mode of thinking changes the lives of those of whom we work with. Which, has inspired BAFOL® Founder the Hon. Bishop Dr. Jasmine L. Booker, to keep our program exciting and inspiring for future generations! She travels extensively conducting FREE organic lifestyle, raw cooking, permaculture based classes. As well as, alternative/holistic health coaching about the Auttie World™ that she lives in.

Annually, we invite families with children on the Autism Spectrum, to join us for a sensory-friendly guided Summer Enrichment Program, that is a break from the traditional scholastic atmosphere. Our Summer program works on strengthening communication and socialization skills for students who are struggling with Neurodevelopmental issues. We focus on under privileged children on the Spectrum of Autism that need the extra support and their families, so that the whole family is included in the process. Family involvement is essential for the best outcome or any social communication with a loved one that has been diagnosed with Autism. And, we especially enjoy our community participation.
And we do this with student interns and volunteers. As we all know that Volunteers are the backbone to our success.
We also know all to well, how usually the cost of a program, such as ours, would hamper a child from attending and participating in traditional summer camps. Due to the nature of the child/children social and accommodating needs. Which, is why our program is FREE. We do not charge any fees to do our program. And because, we partner up with local community members to provide the program (Metro Parks, YMCA, BGCA, Day Cares, Colleges, and Churches), we ask the community reach out to their closes center or contact us HERE for more information about where we will be at during the time of June thru July. And, by our program being in various cities of KY, IN, and TN, we strive to keep a constant schedule each year by working with our partnering company to achiever our goals. Please check with us regarding specific dates and times. Now, let us take a look at one of our art classes that we have done.

Our research "ARTS Based Learning", outcome-driven & innovative program for children diagnosed with Autism or Aspergers (ASD), Neurodevelopmental issues, hyper activity functioning disorders (ADHD/ADD), and learning disorders (nonverbal and language-based), has proven results that parents appreciate. Booker Autism Foundation of Learning, Inc.® DO NOT bill for any services provided to the community. The services have always been FREE!
Our students usually benefit tremendously from our unique, instructional, Wholistic skill-building approach. Instead of teaching about rewards and consequences for behaviors, we leverage out the "natural" or "Wholistic" consequences in the atmosphere (in which the situation is taking place), at the moment. For example, let's say that we are walking to a classroom to do an art project and two children might seem uninterested in what is taking place around them. Maybe, they are wanting to remain unattached with their surroundings (i.e. ipad, cellphone, etc.), we speak with them more about what is happening at that moment that can be of a benefit to them. Time out to do some Yoga. Works wonders on their mood. Here is a FREE downloadable yoga cards and information for home use. If we are working outdoors within nature, we get them involved with a project that suits them (i.e. planting herbs, flowers, etc.). When indoors, we have various opportunities for the students to work on their problem solving skills, peer relationship skills, and manners. Because, what is needed is a more comprehensive understanding of the particular strengths and weaknesses of each child, struggling with learning disorders (treated with Love and Understanding). This is usually done with art, educational tools, home building skills (i.e. big helper, communication skill building, etc.).
Our children “don't give up” and “you can do it” allows that child to bring about an activity (while working in the garden) that he/she likes. This "natural" and "Wholistic" approach, allows for the children to move outside of their comfort zones. This is not something we can easily “create” or "manifest" all the time, but, yet it is incredibly powerful and very useful "therapeutically" for both children/parent/instructor in developing effective "hands on" communication skills. Skills that focus on:
