ANNOUNCEMENT
"In person" activities on behalf of the foundation BAFOL, Inc.® are being conducted through our subsidiary organization. Please fill out an inquiry form (below), for the administration team to follow back up with you.
TUTOR:
Work one-on-one with students to help them learn and practice specific skills such as Microsoft Office, online KHAN Academy, and communication skill building. Provide support to the instructor and answer students’ questions during each session.
GENERAL VOLUNTEER
Wholistic Art Showcase/Concert Fundraiser – Saturday and Sunday in July or August – Helping the Girl's Group Leader and Team Leader with set-up, tear down, assist with various activities that will be handed to the selected candidates (during final interview).
GIVE for Good Louisville - Starts in July-September of each year. Help with campaigning, social media, attending the Day of Giving in September (work station Table Volunteer), etc.
Give A Child A Smile Program - Starts in late October (fundraising). Assisting our partnering organization with procuring funding ($2K) to purchase additional toys, food, etc, that is not already in our possession. The annual day to distribute these boxes filled with goodies is the second Saturday of December from 3-5pm (EST) a Community Center in Kentucky area. Fall After-School Program:
Monday – Thursday, 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm (during school year)
This program provides a safe and educational environment for children and youth (8-12yrs). A variety of educational and enrichment activities are offered throughout the week. Volunteers can assist with homework help (tutoring), helping to supervise students, and facilitate activities. Volunteers are needed to assist with students that are on the spectrum of Autism. This program only operates at the MOU for selected libraries, as IS ON HOLD due to the ongoing variances. More information will be announced as our situation for the public gathering changes.
Summer Program:
Monday – Friday (during the summer break)
During the summer, in the month of June, we have a Summer Camp that provides more fun activities. Students (6-15yrs) can come into one of our community partners locations (I.E. 1:30-2:30pm), for activities that are centered around ARTS as EDUCATION! Volunteers are needed to help in the afternoons with a specific age group, to provide extra support and get to know the children.
Remember that we follow the Board of Education for KY/IN/TN schedule for any closings because of inclement weather or scheduled breaks. For more information about these programs, contact Miss Tiffany Proctor email at [email protected].
GRANT WRITER VOLUNTEER
The BAFOL® Board of Directors is currently seeking motivated individuals to apply for the upcoming 2024-2028 calendar of events. This person(s), will assist the volunteer administrative staff with identifying and applying for funding opportunities through grants. Individuals THAT WILL BE CONSIDERED, will have to possess grant writing experience, working comprehension of the grant application process, excellent writing and grammar skills, as well as the ability to meet deadlines. Also, they must be able to pay close attention to detail and the ability to understand financial and budgetary matters. Please email our administrative volunteer at [email protected].

Currently we have a two volunteers who manages the Social Media account for our subsidiary. Upon a vacancy, in this role, you would be asked to work alongside another volunteer for BAFOL®.

- Join in on being creative for BAFOL® group page. Or, helping create some other means of communicating within the group that strikes conversation.
- Collect links relating to Autism issues – that have a disability focus – to post and share with the BAFOL® volunteer group.
- Schedule links on the BAFOL® Facebook page and moderating the Facebook page, including answering messages or assisting with getting them to the Administrator to be answered in a timely manner.
- Write short articles (300-500 word pieces) at least once a month on disability issues that should be or are also Autism related issues. Previous topics have included the lack of representation in Autism research studies, travel, healthy eating, green living, ART, media representation, the wage gap, and crimes/violence against disabled children.
